1.Unclasp the buckle on the leash

2.Slide and increase the space between the buckle and clasp until the lenght is long enough to wrap around an object of your choosing

The mammoth hook is made with solid iron and is nickel plated to resist weather. The carabiner clip comes with a lock for extra security.

    Make a longer one please

    Purchased at PetValu and had to return. Leash seems well made and feels secure. I wanted to love it. Like people have mentioned in other reviews, a longer length would be useful for those of us with bigger dogs. 8 ft with a bungee please. Our golden retriever is skinny and long so extra length would be appreciated to use as a waist leash without worrying about stepping on him. Have tried two other waist leash brands and this one seems the best style, but it is too short for a large dog. Even with my 27" waist there is nowhere near enough leash to walk on trails where my dog has to move around and sometimes in front.
